To Complete Redemption: The return of Jesus is the culmination of God’s redemptive plan for humanity. It signifies the ultimate restoration of creation to its intended state, free from the curse of sin. Romans 8:19-21 speaks of creation eagerly awaiting liberation from its bondage to decay.
To Gather His Followers: Jesus promised to return and take His followers to be with Him. In John 14:2-3, Jesus says, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
These reasons reflect the hope and expectation that many Christians hold regarding the return of Jesus, which is seen as the fulfillment of God’s promises and the ultimate realization of His plan for humanity and the world.
