Spread the love

The Bible does not explicitly mention the name of Cain’s wife. However, it is generally believed that Cain’s wife was one of his sisters or possibly a niece. The reasoning behind this belief comes from the understanding that Adam and Eve were the first humans, and their children would have had to marry among themselves to propagate the human race.

Genesis 5:4 mentions that Adam “had other sons and daughters,” indicating that Cain’s wife could have been one of his sisters. In the early days of humanity, such close marriages were necessary and not prohibited as they would be later under Mosaic Law.
